Last Idea would be launching on iOS and Android platforms on April 18th, 2019 in Japan, Square Enix reported as the developer and publisher of the game. This title follows free-to-play business model just like other mobile games did, however the most remarkable point is that it doesn’t have gacha system which is also known as loot box. As the result, the game monetizes by selling action point used to do stories or join dungeons, treasure key used to enter weapon or armor dungeons (high rarity equipment farming areas), special items used to craft avatars, etc. Besides, to optimize control experience, Square Enix has implemented into Last Idea an unique feature called smart command, allowing players to activate skills via gestures. All gestures are editable, and can hold up to maximum of three active skills.
