Nintendo would be releasing two new models of Switch console in Summer 2019, reported by Takashi Mochizuki from Wall Street Journal (WSJ) . The first one is mainly for casual players as it’s a cheaper version of original model described as the successor to Nintendo 3DS. While the second one is considered as an enhanced version because it offers advanced features for seasonal players, but still not as powerful as PlayStation 4 Pro or Xbox One X. However, the interesting point is the reporter of WSJ said “You would be wrong to think the enhanced version is similar to what Sony did with PS4 Pro and the other is just a cheap alternative that looks very similar to some past hand-held machines, say, Sony’s PlayStation Vita”. Besides, he aslo shared that people who’ve seen these two versions said they are “different from the original and you’d be surprised”.
